Beer label and Sticker Reviews:

Homebrewers, we all want those beautiful beer labels to match the high level of quality of our beers to share with family friends and neighbors…but it can be a frustrating and expensive experience. So, we did a deep dive into looking for label making companies for the homebrewer and even microbreweries.

Products 

StompStickers has an extremely wide variety of customizable products a homebrewer or microbrewery would want. Stomps' Drink N Peel S labels steal the show as your beer label can incorporate stickers within the label. Whether you make your brewery logo a sticker or that special can art design image, what a fun way to give your customers a cool sticker just from buying your beer. Beer labels, stickers, coasters, keg wraps, car cling stickers, tents, banners, this company has it all. 

Website Design/Functionality 

The StompStickers website is very organized and easy for the average consumer to find and create the right products for their needs. Using the industry tab is an easy and effective way one can find what they are looking for, such as selecting "brewery" to help narrow down products. Uploading our beer label designs were a breeze and was really easy to navigate. While there is some functionality to create a design within the website, we found it to be VERY basic and we would suggest using a different software to create a design or simply have someone create a design for you to upload. For our need of uploading an 8''x5'' 16oz beer label design we had no issues and the proof before purchase was great to show you how your label will look before you checkout. 

Communication/Shipping 

For our experience, we found there to be very limited communication after we purchased our order. We received an initial email confirming the order, however in order to get shipping updates/order status from what we could see you would have to download an app. While this may not be a dealbreaker, we wouldn't expect to have to download a separate app and provide our information and go through that process just to see our order and shipping status. A simple email with updates such as a tracking number would have been ideal. With that being said, we received the order in a timely manner, however we did not receive notification that it was delivered until it was already delivered. This might be something they are trying to improve. We did not have an experience with customer service, so we left that out of our review.

Pricing 

StompStickers label prices were below several other online labeling sites we found (sticker giant, stickermule, Grogtag, Vistaprint), and their quality and appearance set them apart. The labels and products cost were comparable to competitors, not the best and not the worst. The phrase "you get what you pay for" sticks out in our mind here as the Stomp stickers and beer labels were high quality and well worth the money. Pricing also goes down with larger quantity orders, so you can maximize your savings in cost per unit by ordering more. 

Quality/Appearance/Functionality

We were blown away by StompStickers quality, appearance and functionality of their products reviewed. The beer labels held up to water tests and sanitizers while having the appearance of craft brewery labels. The demo products we received such as beer labels for cans and bottles, coasters, keg wraps and Drink N' Peel labels were all good quality. The functionality of the Drink N' Peel labels was incredible as you might not even realize there are stickers within the label, meaning it was noticeable there were stickers but not cheesy/distracting from label design. What a great way to give another life into a beer label. The static cling stickers and various stickers were top quality. This category is one of the main reasons Stomp sticks out from the pack.

Overall Rating 

Despite some of the limitations designing within the website and communication, their variety products, quality and appearance make StompStickers a must try choice for bringing your business or homebrewery to the next level. We would highly recommend them and will use them again.

Homebrewers are always looking to get creative and showcase their latest brews and brewery designs. So, we reviewed Grogtag customizable and reusable labels, metal sign and so much more. Lets get the Hopbeat pulse on Grogtag!

Products 

Grogtag has a wide variety of customizable products** a homebrewer would want. Water proof vinyl labels steal the show with different shapes, sizes and you can personalize everything. Personalized metal signs, bottle caps, tasting mats, coasters, 6 pack carriers just to name a few.

We were most impressed with the Vinyl label quality, ease of use, reusability of their write on labels and wide degree of customizing available. Not very creative? No worries, they have preset designs available where you can just add your own brew style or name. 

 

                  

 

                     

 

Website Design/Functionality 

The Grogtag website is filled with designs and products ready for any homebrewer to take their homebrewing journey to the next level. They make it easy to select the size and templates and uploading your own images is a breeze. The 3D model of your label design was a nice touch to see how your design would look on a beer bottle. However, we found when using a Mac computer, loading the 3D image could take awhile and refreshing the page was required.

The demo videos explaining how to create custom labels was helpful, however be prepared to do a fair amount of uploading images and reworking to get it just right. We did a custom shape (oval) for one of our labels, but it wasn’t until the approval step that we could visually see the shape with the design. If you order a custom shape, stickers are kiss cut, meaning you peel them from the paper on the back. So if they do not appear to be the shape you requested, don't panic! 

As a brand new feature on their site, we think this will improve and more clarity will be added.

 

Customer Service 

As a smaller business, Grogtag shines in their fast and responsive customer service. They were quick to answer any questions we raised with our designs and you could tell they take pride in their products and their customers. 

 

Pricing 

Grogtag label prices were below several other online labeling sites we found (stickermule, Vistaprint*), and their reusability set them apart. The vinyl labels were easy to re-apply (for those instances where the label isn't placed just right) and the write on labels allow you to easily reuse them for your next brew. Label pricing varied based on your style selected, size and quantity. We found the best value prices were on their metal signs and tasting mats as they are not something you can usually find. Overall, for the quality of the labels, reusability and amount of personalization, the price can't be beat. 

 

Overall Rating 

Despite some of the websites limitations, their quality products, customer service and pricing make Grogtag a crushable choice for personalizing your homebrews. We would highly recommend them and will use them again.
